VETASSESS & AHRI Partner On Assessment Criteria (May 18, 2021)

VETASSESS and the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to further develop industry skills assessment standards in the human resource sector.

VETASSESS conducts skills assessments for human resource professionals seeking to migrate to Australia and works with AHRI to ensure assessment criteria remain current and relevant.

As the national association representing human resource and people management professionals in Australia, AHRI provides VETASSESS with input and endorsement for the occupation of Human Resource Adviser and related occupations under the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).

VETASSESS’ Executive Director and AHRI Fellow (FAHRI), Rob Thomason, says: “This key partnership enhances VETASSESS’ skills assessment process for HR-related occupations, giving qualified professionals the opportunity to bring their skills to Australia and ensuring the local industry gains the skills that it needs.”

“The HR profession is a significant contributor to organisational outcomes,” AHRI CEO Sarah McCann-Bartlett says. “Through this partnership with VETASSESS, prospective skilled migrants can connect with and access AHRI’s competency framework, which underpins VETASSESS’ skills assessment for the HR sector, and further their own professional development.”
