The new Far North Queensland DAMA list version 1.2 (FNQ DAMA 1.2) is available from 18 June 2021.
There are 164 occupations in total and 110 new occupations have been added.
New non-ANZSCO occupations (code 070499) have been included:
▪️ Bar Attendant (Supervisor)
▪️ Brewer
▪️ Café or Restaurant Supervisor
▪️ Diving Instructor (Tourism or Photography)
▪️ Farm Inspector
▪️ Farm Supervisor
▪️ Housekeeping Supervisor
▪️ Marine Environment Interpreter
▪️ Night Auditor
▪️ Waiter (supervisor)
The FNQ DAMA allows Far North Queensland (FNQ) employers to sponsor skilled and semi-skilled overseas workers for positions they are unable to fill with local workers. The FNQ DAMA is tailored to address current and emerging labour market shortages.
Employers must first be endorsed by the Cairns Chamber of Commerce as the Designated Area Representative (DAR) before submitting a FNQ DAMA Labour Agreement request with the Department of Home Affairs.
The FNQ DAMA 1.2 brings Age and English concessions, and Permanent Residency pathway.
