We recently rolled out a new feature on Anzscosearch – the SkillSelect EOI Backlog. You can now quickly access the number of EOIs (Expressions of Interest) & invitations issued for skilled visas. This information will give you an overview of your chances to obtain an invitation with your occupation under the Skilled Independent or State & Territory Nominated visa programs.
The type of visas covered include:
- Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)
- Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)
- Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491) (State/Territory Nominated)
- Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491) (Family Sponsored)
You can access this information under the new ‘Backlog’ tab when searching by your ANZSCO code:
How does it work?
Here is an example based on the above screenshot.
How many EOIs have been submitted for the occupation of ANZSCO 351311 Chef under the Skilled Independent visa (Subclass 189)?
247 EOIs with 65 points
235 EOIs with 70 points
192 EOIs with 75 points
129 EOIs with 80 points
74 EOIs with 85 points
< 20 EOIs with 90 points
< 20 EOIs with 95 points
TOTAL EOIs: 1,071
This means that there are 1,071 EOIs in the pool (potentially 1,071 candidates) who nominated the occupation of Chef and are ‘waiting’ for a visa invitation.
You can filter by:
- SUBMITTED: submitted EOIs which are eligible for a visa invitation
- INVITED: number of visa invitations issued
Also, you can access the number of EOIs submitted/invited by State & Territory.

The data is taken directly from the SkillSelect EOI Dashboard and we will endeavor to provide this information as long as it remains available in the SkillSelect website.
